Foks,
I wanted to share a note with you unedited that I could not have said any better that relates to an event that took place earlier this week in the hospital. For all the folks involved, a sincere thanks from me for doing what you do so well, even when the outcome is not what we would hope for.
Keep the Spirit,
Marc
Everyone in life has choices as to what we want to be when we grow up. Some of us want to be Lawyers/accountants/teachers and even own our own buisiness some day......Then you have those like all of us who choose to work in a hospital.
On the date of 11-14-11 VVRMC showed exceptional Teamwork and these are the exact moments and hours that make us feel proud to be part of Val Verde Regional Medical Center.
The hospital is a very stressful place to work.. One thing you can always count on in a hospital is that your days will be very busy, very challanging, extremely rewarding, and sometimes they can be a little sad.
Our minds are set up to always help and make things better, and in some events that is not always the outcome, but We all know it wasnt because of failed attempts of trying..
I would like to take this time to acknowledge everyone who came to the assistance of the ER in regards to an emergent patient.
I wish you could have seen the amazing teamwork that existed this very day.
The teamwork and quick action started from: the time the pateint was in the vehicle, to the time they were in the ER, to the time transported thru 4th sation, and all the way up into the ICU.
I would like to give a special Thank you to Dr. Lawler -ER Doctor and Dr. Shafu - Nephrologist.

I hope that i have mentioned everyone by name, But if i did leave anybody off my list i would like for you to know ,that they also did a great job.
I just wanted to share this bit of information with you both because these are the situations and times that should make us extremely proud to work at VVRMC. This team did not quit, and would not quit until all measures were exhausted. Unfortuanetly the outcome was unfavorable, but it was amazing to watch the fight that this team had in them for two continous hour.
And all of this because "WE ARE VVRMC"
Thank you,
Lety Ortz, RN
