December 7, 2012 - Party Time!

Dec 07, 2012 by Marc Strode, CEO
Folks,
Very much looking forward to our team Christmas party to take place tomorrow night at the Civic Center.  I also want to go ahead and thank those of you who will be here in the shop working and taking care of our patients while most of us are at the party.  I appreciate that sacrifice and hope that the shift goes smoothly.

Someone stopped me and asked about the disclaimer on the invite regarding "no ice chests".  That was put on there to be consistent w/ the City's ordinance in the Civic Center.  But as my neighbor tells me, "you do what you think you can get away with....".  I'm not sure how they will be inforcing, as last year there were many coolers in there as I recall.....

Just a couple of other quick updates for you.

First, on Shannon/Vista Verde....we will have some formal news for you next week.  We've been working hard on this project for several months.  Stay tuned just a little bit longer!

There will be some work taking place this weekend I've been told to repair the driveway at the old, main entrance.  This is my Christmas gift to Dr. Salama as he and others have been on us for some time to get that fixed so if you have a small fancy car you don't bottom out when you come in to park.  This will be the first part of quite a bit of work to take place on the exterior of the campus later next year as we will repave the parking lot in its entirety and also finally move away from all those ugly stick signs designating parking spots and go to a different parking system a little more easier on the eyes.  At that time, we will be more strictly enforcing parking, especially around our patient parking areas near all entrances.  Just a heads up.

Work is in full swing on the 2nd floor and will continue over the holidays.  It's looking real nice, and I can't wait to see the final product.

We will have a new doctor with us starting Monday morning.  Cardiology is back!  Dr. Muhamed Nawar has signed a 90-day contract to help us and see if there's a fit both ways to make this more of a long-term engagement.  More on him here on the blog on Monday.

Have a super weekend.

Keep the Spirit,
Marc
