Folks,
I wanted you to be aware that Dr. Osorio resigned his post earlier this week for personal reasons with our medical group Amistad Medical Professionals.  We are currently active in our search for his replacement.  We will lean on our medical staff leadership, our Boards and our nursing leadership to help us recruit an exceptional candidate who is technically expert, service-oriented and works very well with everyone on the team.  We have already had a few inquiries and are working to facilitate one interview on site in November. 

In the meantime, we are working as quickly as we can to get our telemedicine robot fired up so that we can lean on some of the cardiologists on staff who are in San Antonio to help us evaluate patients with this technology and at least cover our ER and inpatient units.  We are also working on functionally having echos and holters read remotely.  These functions will be critical to maintaining a minimal cardiac service until we have someone on the ground full-time.
