Folks,
It gives me great pleasure to report to you that Leigh Ann Qualia has been promoted to Director of Human Resources from her current role as Manager of Human Resources.  This change takes effect immediately.

Leigh Ann has been with us just a short time, but during her brief tenure has demonstrated superior leadership characteristics and an ability to execute operationally.  She has been very involved in our onboarding of new team members, and if you have been hired since Leigh Ann started with us, I know you can attest to the fact that Leigh Ann was the consummate professional who made everything go exceptionally smoothly for your introduction to VVRMC. 

In her new role, we are asking her to assume even more responsibilities by overseeing the entire HR department and all its functions.  I am a firm believer that when you have a talented leader as we do in Leigh Ann that you hitch your horse to them and increase their span of control so that they can have a greater positive influence on the organization.  So this is exactly what we are doing!

It also affords John Furman, VP of Operations, greater flexibility to focus in several key areas for us in the coming months and years.  John remains Leigh Ann's boss and still will work to support her and the HR department, but John will assume a greater role as we prepare for the upcoming Joint Commission survey and even after the surveyors have come and gone make sure we maintain the level of performance from an environment of care we need to be at.  Also, John is playing a key role in our campus master planning activities as we prepare for a new building coming on line for a 2013-2014 time frame.

Please help me in congratulating Leigh Ann on her new role!  I know she will continue to do an outstanding job for VVRMC and to support you!
