May 3, 2013 - Town Hall Meetings & Hospital Week

May 03, 2013 by Francine Pina

It’s taken me six weeks to do my first blog.  I am excited about this way to communicate with our employees.  Last week we held our Town Hall meetings. It was a first for me here.  If I hadn’t met you before that was an  opportunity for me to introduce myself as there were 331 employees in attendance!   I was impressed with the number of employees who took time from their day to go.  I was honored to recognize Josie and Cristina from Lab as well as a group of employees from the night shift who came together as a team during a critical situation.

Since the Town Hall meetings, I’ve received another letter from Dr. Nelson who commended our staff.  Dr. Nelson is a locum urologist.   He applauded the entire staff for their dedication and specifically mentioned Alyssa, Veronica, and Nancy.   He described Alyssa as “hard working, conscientious, and innovative in her strategies to keep the urology program successful.”  He recognized Veronica for keeping appointments booked and  ensuring all notes, dictations, consults, etc are signed.  Dr. Nelson thanked Nancy for supporting Alyssa and the physicians and for helping to translate for the Spanish speaking patients.   I am excited to be a part of this team.  You are an  honor to work with.  Keep up the great work.

Next week we'll be celebrating Hospital Week.  We have daily activities planned to recognize our employees.

Don't forget. . .Wednesday will also be the Star of the Month/Birthday Celebration.

I look forward to seeing each of you there.

Andy
